Poverty and Inequality in California

2016 Speaker Series on California's Future

Sheraton Grand Sacramento

Sacramento, CA 95814

About the Program

California’s economy is in far better shape than it was just a few years ago. But economic progress has not been shared by all. The widening gap between rich and poor—as well as high poverty rates for some of the state’s most vulnerable populations—has caught the attention of the public, political campaigns, and policymakers. A panel of local leaders will discuss how their communities are faring and what’s being done to address the dual challenges of poverty and inequality.
