Karthick Ramakrishnan is an adjunct fellow at the Public Policy Institute of California and associate dean of the School of Public Policy at the University of California, Riverside, where he is professor of public policy and political science. His research addresses civic participation, immigration policy, and the politics of race and ethnicity. He has authored or coauthored dozens of articles, reports, and books, including Asian American Political Participation: Emerging Constituents and Their Political Identities
. He directs the National Asian American Survey, is the founder of AAPI Data, and is the director of the University of California AAPI Policy Multicampus Research Program. He is also the founding editor of the Journal of Race, Ethnicity, and Politics
. He holds a PhD in politics from Princeton University.
