Nina Robinson
Nina Robinson is associate president and chief policy advisor for the University of California system. She works closely with the president and other senior leaders to develop, articulate, and advocate for university priorities in such areas as budget, academic and enrollment planning, and collaboration with other California higher education segments. Before she was appointed to this position by UC president Janet Napolitano, she served as chief of staff for former UC president Mark Yudof and as director of policy and external affairs in the Department of Student Affairs, responsible for freshman admission policies, systemwide enrollment planning, and initiatives related to access and diversity. Before she joined the Office of the President in 2002, she served in a variety of policy, research, and planning capacities at the University of California, Berkeley, most recently as executive director of public affairs. She brings this experience and expertise to the PPIC Higher Education Center Advisory Council. She earned her graduate degree in public policy from the University of California, Berkeley, and her undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego.
