Agenda

Date: April 14, 2011
Time: 12:00-1:30 p.m.
Location: Secretary of State Building, Auditorium
1500 11th Street

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
California fares poorly on many national rankings of business climate, yet over the past 30 years the state’s economy has grown at roughly the same rate as the national average. Jed Kolko examines this California puzzle and talks about other findings from the new PPIC study, Business Climate Rankings and the California Economy.

This research was supported with funding from the David A. Coulter Family Foundation and the Donald Bren Foundation.

At approximately 12:45, following the briefing and Q&A, boxed lunches will be available. Please join us in the multipurpose room across the lobby from the auditorium for further discussion. Pre-registration is requested. There is no charge to attend.

SPEAKER
Jed Kolko is associate director of research and research fellow at PPIC, where he specializes in state and local economies, urban policy and housing, and technology policy.
