ABOUT THE PROGRAM
As 2009 opens, Californians find their governor and state legislature struggling to close a record budget deficit, the nation and the state facing recession, and newly sworn-in President Barack Obama and Congress working to create a multibillion-dollar federal economic stimulus plan. Mark Baldassare will present the findings of a January survey that focuses on Californians’ attitudes toward these challenging economic events and what their leaders are doing about them.
