| How does the dissertation fellows program work? |
|||
PPIC hosts selected doctoral candidates whose dissertation topics and career goals are related to public policy issues affecting California. Dissertation fellows are expected to spend a significant portion of their time onsite at PPIC while completing their dissertations. They are also encouraged to participate in PPIC’s culture of intellectual exchange. Scholars whose research will benefit from access to PPIC’s databases and consultation with PPIC staff are particularly encouraged to apply. Excellence; fit with PPIC’s mission and goals; and diversity of talents, backgrounds, and viewpoints are important elements of the selection process. At this time, we are not considering applications for dissertation fellows.
