Nathaniel Seavy is an adjunct fellow at the PPIC Water Policy Center and research director for the Pacific Coast and Central Valley Group at Point Blue Conservation Science. His research is focused on the ecology and conservation of floodplain ecosystems, bird migration, understanding and preparing for the ecological effects of climate change, and applying science to conservation decision making and public policy. Over the past two decades, he has worked on projects in North America, Central America, Africa, and Hawaii. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals including Ecological Applications, Journal of Wildlife Management, Biological Conservation, and Conservation Biology. He holds a PhD and MS in zoology from the University of Florida, Gainesville.
