About the Program
One hundred years ago, California elected the first female members to the state legislature. Today, women play a powerful role in shaping the political discourse, but they continue to be underrepresented in government. Senate President pro Tem Toni Atkins will join PPIC President and CEO Mark Baldassare for a wide-ranging conversation about leadership in changing times. A panel of state legislators will then share experiences and discuss the dynamics of diversity in setting better policy for the state.
