Sherry Bebitch Jeffe

Sherry Bebitch Jeffe is a professor of the practice of public policy communication at the Sol Price School of Public Policy at the University of Southern California. She is also the political analyst for NBC4 Los Angeles. She also serves as a commentator on the “State of Affairs” segment of KPCC radio’s Take Two. She has served as American politics analyst for BBC Scotland, BBC Wales, BBC London, and BBC World Service programs, and has appeared on Al Jazeera English and on NBC and MSNBC, as well as on radio news outlets across America. Her NBC4 news feature, Decision 2005: A Voter’s Guide, was nominated for a Los Angeles area Emmy Award. She served as an analyst for NBC’s Today show during the 2003 California recall election. She has also been a political analyst for KCAL-TV in Los Angeles. In the 2000 election cycle, she served as political analyst for NBC4 in Washington, DC, and for BBC Scotland and BBC Wales. In addition to serving on the PPIC Statewide Survey Advisory Committee, she writes regularly on American and California government and politics. She has taught political science at Claremont Graduate University, Loyola Marymount University, and Pitzer College. She holds a PhD in government from Claremont Graduate University and a master’s degree in political science from Rutgers University, where she was a fellow at the Eagleton Institute of Politics; her BA is from Goucher College, where she majored in political science.
