Crime Rates in California

This data set contains expanded tables of the data presented in Crime Trends in California.

Crime Rates by County, 2019 presents the reported number of crimes per 100,000 residents. The table includes crime rates for violent crimes (homicide, rape, robbery and aggravated assault) as well as property crimes (burglary, motor vehicle theft and larceny theft).

Percent Change in Crime Rates by County, 2018-19 presents the percentage changes in crime rates between 2018 and 2019. These are calculated for violent crimes (homicide, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault) as well as property crimes (burglary, motor vehicle theft, and larceny theft).
