about the program
There is much debate about whether California businesses are moving out of state and taking jobs with them. The broader patterns of employment dynamics—the ways in which jobs and businesses move into and around the state, as well as out of state—provide a more accurate understanding of the business climate. This discussion will examine trends among businesses with headquarters inside California and those with headquarters outside the state, as well as job migration at the regional and county level and by industry. Lunch will be provided for this event.
