ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Designed so that teachers can get quickly to work helping their students in specific math areas, the Mathematics Diagnostic Testing Project (MDTP) is in place throughout California. PPIC Bren Policy Fellow Julian Betts will explain findings from his study of MDTP’s effectiveness in promoting math achievement in San Diego and potential lessons for other school districts.

This study was supported with funding from the Donald Bren Foundation.

SPEAKER

Julian Betts is chair of the department of economics at the University of California San Diego, and an expert in student outcomes and measures of school spending.
