California is one of the first states in the nation to establish an explicit policy (SB 375) aimed at reducing driving by passenger vehicles. This new law could bring major changes to the way state, regional, and local governments make transportation and land use decisions. Louise Bedsworth, Ellen Hanak, and Jed Kolko, along with a panel of experts, will discuss the challenges and opportunities ahead.

This study was conducted with funding from The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation.
