ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Finding a simpler, fairer, and more flexible way to fund K-12 public schools remains a central challenge for the governor and legislature this year—and voters will also weigh in on the topic in November.
First, PPIC Policy Fellow Margaret Weston will provide an overview of school finance in California. Next, a panel of school finance leaders will discuss options for improving the way education is funded in the state.
