ABOUT THE PROGRAM
California’s Master Plan for Higher Education turns 50 this April. The Master Plan defined a strategy to meet the state’s challenges in 1960—but today, California faces new problems. By 2025, the state will have 1 million fewer college-educated workers than the economy will require, according to PPIC projections. Hans Johnson will discuss how to update the Master Plan to successfully meet the challenges ahead.

This study was conducted with funding from The William and Flora Hewett Foundation. Lunch will be provided and there is no charge to attend. Pre-registration is requested.

SPEAKER
Hans Johnson is an expert in immigration, migration, population issues and demographics, housing, education projections, and workforce skills.
