ABOUT THE PROGRAM
This briefing focuses on the July PPIC Statewide Survey, which examines Californians’ views on climate change and energy policy, including perceptions of global warming, and preferences for regulating greenhouse gas emissions and reducing U.S. dependence on foreign oil. It also looks at air pollution, specifically, perceptions of regional air quality and policy preferences for reducing pollution. The survey explores the role of government in handling environmental issues and residents’ approval ratings of elected officials. This is the ninth in the annual Californians and the Environment survey series.
