ABOUT THE PROGRAM
PPIC’s latest Statewide Survey comes as the 2008 presidential campaign shifts into high gear, examining Californians’ support for the two candidates and their views on other important state and national issues. The August Californians and Their Government survey presents the opinions of adult residents and likely voters on the current state of the economy, their support for Propositions 4, 8, and 11, their assessment of the job performances of the governor and state legislature, as well as their policy preferences on issues including the state budget impasse, health care, the Iraq war, and immigration policy.

Lunch will be provided. This study is conducted with funding from The James Irvine Foundation.

SPEAKER
Dean Bonner is a research associate at PPIC and member of the Statewide Survey team.
