In the context of the passage of the Proposition 30 tax initiative and Governor Brown's proposal to change the way schools are funded, PPIC's annual Statewide Survey on Californians and Education examines Californians' views on providing more funding for disadvantaged students and more flexibility to local districts. It also gauges residents' confidence in their local school districts and presents special findings among public school parents.
This study was conducted with funding from The Dirk and Charlene Kabcenell Foundation, the Stuart Foundation, and the Silver Giving Foundation.
SPEAKER
Sonja Petek, research associate, PPIC
