Ben Golombek is executive vice president and chief of staff for policy at the California Chamber of Commerce. In this role, he heads the CalChamber policy staff, providing strategic oversight and management of CalChamber’s legislative and regulatory priorities. Most recently, he served as the west region vice president for public affairs for AT&T, where he managed a team creating and implementing legislative campaigns and media strategies to educate and influence lawmakers, regulators, and consumers for eight states including California. Previously, he served as chief of staff to three members of the California State Assembly, including the chairs of the Revenue and Taxation Committee and the Appropriations Committee. Prior to his state capitol experience, he worked at Los Angeles city hall, where he served as deputy city controller, communications director for a city councilmember, and deputy press secretary for Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. He currently serves on the PPIC Economic Policy Center Advisory Council. He graduated from Northwestern University, earned an MBA from the University of California, Davis, and completed the Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs.
