Government Affairs Associate
Erin Carvalho is a government affairs associate at the PPIC Sacramento Center. She collaborates with PPIC research staff in the areas of K–12 education, higher education, and the social safety net—ensuring that PPIC’s work connects with policymakers and community leaders. Before joining PPIC, she served as a legislative aide for State Senator Josh Newman and worked on a variety of issues—including agriculture, electoral reform, education, labor, public employment, and retirement. She holds a BA from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she majored in both history and politics.
