Mark Herbert

Mark Herbert is chief operating officer of the California Association for MicroEnterprise Opportunity (CAMEO). In this role, he drives the implementation of organizational priorities and coordinates alignment across the organization. Before joining CAMEO, he served in several roles for Small Business Majority, a small business advocacy organization; previous to that, he worked for both federal and state elected officials , directing business operations and building relationships with small business owners and key stakeholders as they pertained to public policy issues. He is passionate about ensuring local communities are empowered to provide entrepreneurs with what they need to succeed. Through his work in California, he serves as board chair of TMC Community Capital and is a member of the Equity at Work Council for ReWork the Bay. Additionally, he is a member of the PPIC Economic Policy Center Advisory Council.
