Mike Tognolini

Michael Tognolini joined East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) in 1996 and has served as director of water and natural resources since 2018.  His responsibilities include the planning and development of EBMUD’s supplemental water supply portfolio, including water transfers, regional partnerships, and recycled water programs. He also oversees watershed stewardship for over 50,000 acres of EBMUD watershed land in the Sierra foothills and East Bay, protection of fisheries and wildlife, and management of trails and recreation areas.  Mike received a BS and MS in Civil Engineering from Stanford University and has over 30 years of experience in the water industry.
