Sergio Sanchez is a research associate at the PPIC Higher Education Center. His research interests include the achievement gap, alternative education pathways, and data visualization. Before joining PPIC, he worked at the Davis Joint Unified School District as a data analyst, focusing on school climate issues. He also worked as a lead tutor for Davis Bridge, an afterschool program which provides academic support and mentorship to students of historically underserved communities. He holds a BA in economics with a specialization in data analytics and a BA in international relations from the University of California, Davis.
