Ashley Boren

Ashley Boren is the former CEO of Sustainable Conservation, a California nonprofit that advances the collaborative stewardship of the state’s land, air, and water for the benefit of people and nature. She received the James Irvine Foundation Leadership Award for her unwavering commitment to innovative, balanced problem-solving to address a variety of critical environmental problems facing the state. Prior to Sustainable Conservation, Ashley worked for Smith & Hawken and The Nature Conservancy’s International Program. She brings this experience and expertise to the PPIC Water Policy Center Advisory Council. Ashley currently serves on the boards of California Trout, California Water Data Consortium, and the Watershed Solutions Network, as well as the University of California President’s Advisory Commission for the Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources. She has a BA in human biology, an MA in applied economics, and an MBA from Stanford.
