About the Program
The 2025–26 school year sees the culmination of California’s gradual Transitional Kindergarten (TK) age-expansion to include all four-year-olds regardless of birthdate. PPIC policy director and senior fellow Laura Hill and project assistant Maya Lawton will discuss their new report on enrollment, highlighting differences in participation across districts and student populations as well as insights from school districts.
