About the Program
The Voter’s Choice Act was designed to ease voting and boost turnout in California. In counties that have adopted the VCA, results have been mixed—despite some gains, turnout has worsened among Latino voters and in recent midterm elections. PPIC researcher Eric McGhee will present these and other key takeaways from a new report on the effects of the VCA and discuss insights for improving voting reforms and participation.
This research and event are supported with funding from the Evelyn and Walter Haas, Jr. Fund.
