Safeeq Khan
Safeeq Khan is an associate professor of civil and environmental engineering at University of California, Merced. His research broadly focuses on understanding interactions between climate, regolith, and terrestrial ecosystems in the Earth’s critical zone with an emphasis on natural and human disturbance and climate change. He has worked extensively with state and federal land managers, water agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders on co-producing practical scientific solutions for building water and watershed resilience. He is a member of the California Wildfire & Forest Resilience Task Force Science advisory panel, the Tulare Basin Watershed Partnership board of directors, and the Consortium of Universities for the Advancement of Hydrologic Science, Inc. board of directors.
