Training for Health Care Jobs in California

Virtual Event

November 6, 2025 · 1:00 pm - 1:30 pm

About the Program

Health care is one of the largest and fastest-growing sectors in California’s economy, with opportunities for workers who lack a four-year college degree. Community colleges offer the most affordable training. But not all pathways yield the same results. How well do these programs support economic mobility, and for which populations? PPIC senior fellow Shannon McConville will present findings from a recent report.

This research and event are supported with funding from Blue Shield of California Foundation, Gates Foundation, the James Irvine Foundation, and Tipping Point Community.
